Early Menopause

Introduction

|

I have set up this Early Menopause website to provide reliable information based support, as there seems to be a great need from women who are experiencing this difficult medical condition, and also to GPs, and other health professionals working in the field. My aim is to provide you with the opportunity to access up to the minute U.K. and international news on early menopause, as and when stories develop, which you will be able to read. There are also interesting interviews on the site, with a number of eminent consultants in the field of menopause, plus conference reports that I have written.

I suffered a premature surgical menopause, and following my surgery received no medical information. In speaking to other women in the same situation, it quickly became evident that there was a desperate need for reliable and accessible information.

The need for accurate information on early menopause, led me to write a patient support booklet for Hammersmith Hospitals NHS trust, with the help and inspiration of Consultant menopause specialist Nick Panay.

I have created two forums, one for early menopause, the other for more general discussion. I hope you will find these beneficial in providing a friendly arena in which you can air, and swap personal stories and experiences. I would also welcome feature articles from 'patients' and professionals. Let me know what you would like to see or what you have been doing.

Once you have registered, you can also set up your own blog if you would like to try this.

I feel passionately about developing menopause services and in doing so, providing information based opportunities to women faced with an early menopause.

I hope you find this Early Menopause web site goes some way to helping you on your journey. Please join in, and hopefully you will meet some fellow travellers
